DB Leonard & The House of Jezebel and Wasted in Wasteland

DB Leonard & The House of Jezebel

5-8pm / No Cover

As a Singer and Parlor Guitar Player and a Teller of Tall Tales, DB Leonard creates atmospheric narratives embedded with bits of electronica and bites of a full band. His music has been classified as music noir, heavy in mood and imagery, with an emphasis on the spaces in between.

At Bar Fluxus, for the Friday Happy Hour Series, DB Leonard will perform original songs from an extensive catalog penned over a decade in New York City. Often compared to the likes of Nick Drake, Leonard Cohen, and Ben Howard, DB Leonard will perform this series with an eclectic mix of San Francisco’s finest local musicians.

‘Local light Db Leonard creates a spare, minimalist world of few notes and words but many meanings. The production has a Daniel Lanois-esque dreamy, transparent tone, and Leonard's capable voice has an uncanny ability to sing as if he was singing just to you in a soothing, breathy whisper.’

Wastrel Society straight out of San Francisco present: Wasted in Wasteland. Throwing events all over the Bay area, the Wastrel Society is back for another funky ass party.

Featuring two of the hottest up and coming beat droppers from San Francisco; J.Luse and T4oH for a night of Dance House, Electro, EDM Trap, Deep House and Techno. This event is hosted by Wastrel Society, a San Francisco based collective of musical and visual artists. Wastrel means good for nothing.

After the 2017 closure of SF Pizza due to gentrification it removed a platform where the community came together. They are the good for nothing natives born and raised in SF who can no longer live here or have business in SF..

The Wastrels used to hang out and play their music as well as displayed their art at SF Pizza, so after the closure they sought to create something to continue the tradition of uniting the community.

Wastrel Society was created to combat gentrification by way of music and arts to protect and unite the people of our city by bridge the gap between the locals and the newcomers to create a better community.

Bio of Performer(s):
His motto is broken beats for broken hearts. This rising San Francisco native star got his start blasting parking lot speakers in the SoMa. Now he rocks the house with his unique dirty American house and techno sounds! Bring your dancing shoes when J.Luse is on the decks. He's for sure to go deeper than any other disc jockey in the city.

This American electronic music producer has been DJing for over 7 years. He supplies dance floors with a unique style that mixes electronic trap, dance, and hip hop. T4oH is a San Francisco native that never delivers a dull moment while on the decks. He is known for throwing down some of the dirtiest mashups in the city.
